If any issues are found, we will advise you on the necessary rectifications needed to achieve compliance.
New safety standards were introduced in 2019 to improve pool and spa barrier safety.
Since November 2020, pool owners in Mount Eliza have been required to register their pools with their local council, through the Mornington Peninsula Shire's website.
Register Pool or Spa
Once you have registered your pool, council will advise "applicable barrier standard" based on the year of pool construction and issue a letter directing when the pool must be inspected.
Onsite Pool Inspection
Engage Baywatch Pool Safety to conduct the pool barrier inspection. Forward your council letter to us and we will inspect under the relevant Australian standard within AS 1926.1.
If all is well we issue you a certificate of compliance, Form 23. If any issues are found we provide a detailed report with advice on meeting your obligations under the code.
Lodge Certificate
Baywatch Pool Safety will issue your "Certificate of Pool Safety" within 24 hours of successful inspection and you must lodge this promptly with your council.
Owners must arrange a new inspection and certificate every 4 years.
