Why is Pool and Spa Barrier legislation important?
Each year an average of four small children drown in Victoria, and there are many more who suffer “partial drowning” and may be disabled for the rest of their lives. Due to this worrying statistic, the Victorian Government has established safety standards for pool and spa barriers. Routine inspection and maintenance of pool barriers is minimising the emotional, social and economic cost of this serious risk.
Baywatch Pool Safety are a qualified specialist who can assist pool owners to obtain pool barrier compliance in accordance with the relevant part of the Australian Standards, depending on year of construction.
We are a fully insured and registered practitioner with the VBA, Victorian Building Authority. As such we are qualified to provide you with a certificate of pool and spa barrier compliance.
